For the week beginning 10 August

Sun in Pisces

LEO

When the Sun and Jupiter hook up confidence is high but so too is the inclination to take on projects that are bigger than Ben Hur. Keep your energy levels under control and not allow them to run off with you.

VIRGO

A sense of comfort and satisfaction can be gained from intricate mental work this week particularly if your discipline is strong. You are able to keep a handle on all the details, which always helps.

LIBRA

Communication and rapport with the women in your life should be quite harmonious so plan a few get togethers or catch up for a chat some time soon. Relax and enjoy the companionship.

SCORPIO

You seem to be on the move this week able to do two things at once without forgetting any of the detail. With spirits so buoyant not even the mundane can take the edge off so put it to good use.

SAGITTARIUS

This week we have the good news and the bad news for whilst your energy level is high you may be tempted to take on a little more than is good for you. Be realistic in your assessment of the situation.

CAPRICORN

A changing situation may deplete your patience level particularly if time and distance is an issue. It is perhaps not a good idea to underestimate the problem but to weigh and balance the odds carefully.

AQUARIUS

A difficult situation may arise and your initial response may be to rebel or to high tail it out. It will take a lot of effort and endurance to overcome the problem and perhaps you are not up to the effort.

PISCES

A sudden change in circumstances may result in placing a limitation on your movements. The resulting stresses and strains cause may increase tension and irritability but over reaction even more so.

ARIES

If you are able to contain your restlessness and focus or concentrate on one particular project the more you can accomplish as the energy invested helps overcome any problems encountered.

TAURUS

Gather your friends together or perhaps catch up with your mother for a bite to eat or see a movie. A good time to liaise with those close appreciating the comfort and love generated.

GEMINI

Mercury in constructive Virgo has you thinking on a much more practical level. You are able to apply much more care and detail making it an ideal time for collaboration and gaining cooperation.

CANCER

Impulsiveness early in the week could have you regretful later on but as long as nothing has been set in concrete then come the weekend you may find yourself changing your mind altogether.

SUN IN PISCES

We have now reached the twelfth sign and stage on the sun’s cyclic journey of the evolving personality using the Zodiac and the seasons as a dynamic process of change. Astrology has been the first and most universal attempt by man to find hidden order or meaning behind or within the confusion of the jungle – physical or psychological, as the case may be (Dane Rudhyar).

Pisces is an era of storms and wholesale disintegration where we must accept structural dissolution and give up our comfortable reliance on society instead, learning to stand alone and face the unknown with simple faith, re-entering the womb of nature.

In Pisces all that swarmed through the Aquarian Period – the social delusions, the exaggerated idealsim, the revolutionary fetishes or scientific materialism – must now be cut away so Man can shed those social vestures and stand bare before the God within.

Pisces in its negative manifestation is where complexes must be faced. All our failures of adapting to the environment through family or society, from Cancer to Capricorn, now need to be acknowledged and worked through. In order for our spontaneous and natural flow of energy to be ignited we also need to let go of those traits and behaviour that have been imposed on us by the atrophying traditions of family, religion and society.

In Pisces there is always something of finality, yet also of expectancy. Here it is we face not only our personal unconscious but also the collective unconscious of race and culture.

In Western Christianity this is around the time of Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent, where Christians prepare by fasting, repentance, moderation and spiritual discipline in preparation for Easter and Christ’s resurrection.

Excerpts have been used from Astrological Signs – The Pulse of Life Dane Rudhyar.
