GEMINI
New Moon in your sign on the 12th is a potent time for making wishes that stimulate new beginnings in your life. With the square to the restrictive and reserved Saturn any frivolous plans will soon be weeded out and only the worthy should demand your attention. Focusing on one thing at a time will keep you on track preventing the urge to scatter your energies.
CANCER
Full Moon and eclipse in your sign at the end of the month (26th) allows you plenty of time for reflection and analysis and with the Sun making his annual visit to your sign on the 21st this also provides the temptation to delve into the past. Avoid staying there, rather look ahead to the future learning from your past actions and by overcoming and letting go of your fears and feelings of inadequacy commit to the future.
LEO
Restlessness continues to hound you for much of June so you may as well put it to good use by getting out and about seeing to all those small seemingly inconsequential details that takes a lot of time but seem to accomplish nothing. The time will not be wasted as, always with an eye to the main chance, you are able to put your networking skills to good use. With the Sun moving into watery Cancer on the 21st caution starts to play a role.
VIRGO
Warrior Mars puts down his sword and puts on his scholars cap and glasses on the 7th when he leaves fiery Leo behind and enters the more practical Virgo. All that energy now needs to be rechannelled into more productive avenues, methodically working towards a goal, making sure that an eye is kept on the details and everything is going to plan. Temptation may be to rush ahead but then may have to redo.
LIBRA
When the love goddess moves into Leo on the 14th the tempo picks up, as this fun loving sign likes nothing more than to be noticed. This is the party animal sign and when she teams up mid month with the unpredictable Uranus and the opportunistic Jupiter anything can happen. Attention seeking behaviour is at its highest so make sure you are well aware of any risks.
SCORPIO
Pluto plays a big role in this month’s Lunar Eclipse and Full Moon (26th) being conjunct the Moon Goddess and opposing the Sun as well as squaring Saturn, Jupiter and Uranus. Events and emotions are intensified and attention may be drawn to security issues. For some Scorpions this could be a very unsettling time but for others it could just be the shake-up needed.
SAGITTARIUS
Jupiter, the planet of wisdom and vision, enters the initiating Aries on the 6th where it joins Uranus, the great changer in readiness to blast you out of any rut bound behaviour. Although Jupiter returns to Pisces on September 8th, appetites for change will have been whet and not forgotten. The continuing opposition from Saturn still fosters the resistance but now possibilities are seen.
CAPRICORN
The Full Moon Eclipse on the 26th with the combination of planets may have some of you running for the hills. Pluto’s presence ensures that the effects are intensified dredging up relationship issues that has you well out of your comfort zone. Unexpected emotions are evoked and need to be dealt with not buried again where they will continue to undermine all you are trying to achieve.
AQUARIUS
Your ruling planet Uranus is joined by the philosophical and expansive Jupiter early in the month, blasting some of your preconceived concepts out of the water. Whilst Uranus returns to the watery Pisces in September till January it gives a promise or glimpse of things to come. Also still struggling under Saturn’s restrictive influence the light is no longer red but amber.
PISCES
With Neptune (ambiguity, inspiration) and Saturn (limitations, stability) continuing to studiously avoid each other it’s hard to know just where things are at. There is a window of opportunity mid month when both Sun and Mercury throw out a life line supplying not only motivation but also the ability to discern wherein lays the problem. Now you may need to give concessions but worth thinking about considering the current stand off.
ARIES
It is time to pull in that risk taking, spontaneous energy and apply the brakes. Mars movement into the cautious practical sign of Virgo on the 7th indicates a need for forethought and careful planning. Energy now needs to be harnessed in a more methodical way so as the details are not lost. For some this may cause a small measure of irritability.
TAURUS
Venus moves from the comfort craving Cancer mid-month to the more adventurous Leo so those bulls that have felt home bound, times they are a changing. Pleasure and enjoyment is now gained through social interaction and home entertainment. The wardrobe may need a bit of a lift and for those of a more thrifty nature spending money doesn’t hurt as much if a bargain is made.
SUN
Sun moves from the Air sign of Gemini into the summer hemisphere’s Winter Solstice sign of Cancer on 22 June, going from the rational mind to the more emotional. This, the first of the water signs (Scorpio, Pisces), takes us back to home, hearth and family where the continuity of our roots is paramount. Without a strong foundation our house becomes one of straw, blown away at the first puff of wind. Attention turns to security needs.
MERCURY
Mercury moves into its rulership sign of Gemini (also Virgo) on the 10th from the conservative and slower paced sign of Taurus. The mental attitude is far more flexible and adaptable with a love of variety and change. Along with the other air signs of Libra and Aquarius, Gemini at least theoretically are compatible with the area of relationships as air encourages equality, individuality and consciousness, all necessary in relationships.
VENUS
Leaving home loving Cancer behind, the mood becomes much more playful as Venus, planet of love and attraction enters the fun loving, risk taking sign of Leo on the 14th. If you are thinking of entertaining do so after this date as this fire sign likes nothing better than a party where the capacity for generosity of spirit gives plenty of areas to shine and be in the spot light.
MARS
The pace slows when Mars moves into Virgo on the 7th as this sign does not like rushing spontaneously into any situation but rather likes a bit of forethought and planning. If there is a need for action do so in small incremental stages as tentative steps will be rewarded by far better results as time is given to make any necessary adjustments along the way.
JUPITER
The ingress of Jupiter into pioneering Aries happens on the 6th staying in this sign till June 2011. Last seen here in 1999 this planet of optimism and expansion in the first sign of the Tropical Zodiac heralds a new cycle. So begins a time for learning and gaining new experiences and when we see it teeming up with Uranus as it does throughout June expect surprises and sudden opportunities.
NEPTUNE
Neptune retrogrades once a year for approximately five months and starts this movement on the 1st ending in November. Neptune tends to dissolve our sense of reality and depending on the planets or houses it transits can instill a greater need for privacy, seclusion and withdrawal. This allows for time to explore the fertile world of untapped imagination leading to a greater realisation of latent abilities.
NEW MOON at 21 GEMINI 24 on 12 JUNE, 2010 at 9.14pm AEST
Gemini, a mutable Air sign, is ruled by the planet Mercury, who was said to be the herald of the Gods. Hermes/Mercury was the intermediary between the gods and ordinary people, the personal fax machine or messenger boy if you like. Hermes is a catalyst, communicating information and bringing people together. That is why in medical astrology Gemini rules the nervous system; it functions as a network to carry messages from the senses to the brain. In social situations the Gemini archetype is also a catalyst involving both the positive and negative factors. Extremely good at socialising and networking no-one gets your business card to as many people but as they are in constant transit, talking to many people, gossip can manifest.
Mercury during this New Moon is colluding with Pluto so the temptation to gossip, particularly of the malicious variety could be strong and with the square to warrior Mars verbal sword fighting may unfold. Try and avoid this temptation as Pluto does not forgive or forget and things said in the heat of the moment can have longer-term consequences. Positively with Saturn both trining Mercury and squaring the New Moon more flexibility is needed so too the need to let go of own agendas - Neptune’s influence allows us to let people be and accept them as they are.
The Gemini/Mercury flavour of this New Moon provides a catalyst and the YOD formation of Neptune, Saturn and Venus indicates we have reached a turning point in the cycle of life. Neptune keeps the awareness of other dimensions alive inside us but it is often hard to articulate but now a crossroads is reached and the need arises to ‘step off the merry-go-round’.
We also see the once every 14-year (approx) conjunction of Jupiter/Uranus, which symbolises a progressive time when humanity has the potential to take a leap in consciousness and awareness. During the 1997 conjunction of Jupiter/Uranus in Aquarius we saw the finalisation of the report ‘Bringing Them Home’ being finalised after a National Inquiry was set up regarding The Stolen Generation.

An Astrological Mandala – the cycle of transformations and its 360 symbolic phases.
FULL MOON at 4 CANCER 46 on 26 JUNE at 9:30 pm AEST
The Lunar Eclipse greatly intensifies the effects of this Full Moon, which incorporates the axis of Cancer/Capricorn. Occurring a few days after a solstice that along with the equinoxes was to the ancients an important guide in developing and maintaining calendars as well as helping them grow crops. Solstice meditations are still popular worldwide as a means of renewing faith and inspiration.
The Cancer/Capricorn polarity is the parental signs in Astrology as each is an authority figure in their own domain, whether this is the home manager or the breadwinner. Perhaps old fashioned but those who have the Cancer or Capricorn archetype strong in their horoscope know that the roles feel right. The integration of these polarities allows the Capricornian self-sufficiency to help us cope with emotional difficulties and to fulfil our own needs by taking responsibility for our actions.
This Full Moon incorporates a Grand Cross with seven planets within 5 degrees of the cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. This configuration, which is comprised of at least four squares and two oppositions, gives energy to burn with an overdose of push, drive and momentum. The challenge is to harness this tremendous energy and properly direct it otherwise run the risk of being scattered and drained.
With Pluto (regeneration), Uranus (change), Jupiter (expansion) and Saturn, the ability to learn from experience combined in this Full Moon heralds a time where potentially a critical turning point is upon us individually and collectively to do things differently. Instead of repeating past mistakes, focus on the job at hand and see what is feasible and realistic. Concentrate and learn to properly direct those energies that also allows for feelings of frustration and obstacles but never for those of powerlessness.

5 degrees Capricorn – Indians on the warpath. While some men row a well-filled canoe, others in it perform a war dance.
The mobilsation of physical and emotional energies in a spirit of conquest.
