Local surfers do well in NSW Pool Rescue Championships

Local surf sports athletes recently honed their water rescue skills in competition at the Peninsula Leisure Centre, Woy Woy. Local surf life savers and their teams who made the top three places were as follows.
First Places:
Liam Muir (Cooks Hill) first in U15 male 50m swim with fins.
Georgia Maskell (Catherine Hill Bay) first, followed by Sjana Earp (Swansea Belmont) and Hannah Trypas (Redhead) in U15 female swim with fins.
Jessica Collins (Redhead), first, followed by Emily Chaffey (Swansea Belmont) in the U17 female 200m obstacle race.
Emily Chaffey (Swansea Belmont), first, followed by Jessica Collins (Redhead) in the U17 female 100m manikin tow with fins.
Second and third places:
Hannah Trypas (Redhead) was second in the U15 female 200m obstacle race.
Sjana Earp (Swansea Belmont) second in U15 female 50m manikin carry.
Isaac Morgan (Redhead), third in U17 male 200m obstacle race.
Samuel Earp (Swansea Belmont) second in U17 male 100m manikin tow with fins.
Isaac Morgan (Redhead) second, followed by Samuel Earp (Swansea Belmont) in U17 male 50m manikin carry.
Jessica Collins (Redhead) second in U17 female 50m manikin carry.
Rochelle Bird (Swansea Belmont) second in open female 200m obstacle race.
Daniel Collins (Redhead) third in U13 male 100m obstacle race.
Daniel Collins (Redhead) second in U13 male 50m swim with fins.
 
 
Sydney Water Surf Life Saving Series
The annual Sydney Water Premiership Series is on again. Surf life savers from clubs in NSW and Queensland will compete in the 4 round competition from October 31 to December 19. Events will include ski, board, swim and run, beach sprints, flags and relays.
The series is being held at the following beaches:
Round 1: Warilla-Barrack Heights on Saturday October 31 
Round 2: Helensburgh-Stanwell Park on Saturday November 14
Round 3: Bellambi on Saturday November 28
Round 4: Towradgi on Saturday December 19
Newcastle junior cricket news – Bradman Cup selection trials

Junior Rugby League Academy Camp
NSW Rugby League Academy 2010 players camp is to be held 18th - 21st January at Narrabeen.
Specialist coaching catering for all skill levels of players 12 to 16 years. Please note places are limited so get in early to avoid disappointment!
