Your Online Community (publishers of this e-zine and SMARTPAGES directories) in conjunction with The Illawarra ITeC commence delivering face-to-face training sessions throughout Southern NSW with a GETTING STARTED ONLINE workshop in Wollongong - 9.30am 7th May 2010 at the 313 Theatre, Coniston.
Participants will learn:

• Expert tips to improve sales online
• How to get a higher return on your website investment
• What the National Broadband Network will mean for small business

The Illawarra ITeC won the largest single grant in NSW to deliver free training online from AusIndustry as part of the Small Business Online program a federally funded initiative in support of the NBN.
There are three streams to the ‘Stepping Up Online – from basics to masterclass’ program:
• GETTING STARTED ONLINE
• STEPPING UP ONLINE
• ADVANCED MARKETING ONLINE
GETTING STARTED ONLINE is specifically targeted at the 12% of small business owners (SMEs) who are planning to build their first website in the next 12 months. Workshops of up to 50 participants will receive face-to-face training with supplementary online tutorials.
STEPPING UP ONLINE is designed for the 57% of SMEs who already have a website but wish to increase their online sales and learn Search Engine Marketing (SEM) skills. Hands-on workshops are limited to 15 or less - with PC access included. Also with supplementary online tutorials.
ADVANCED MARKETING ONLINE caters to website owners who have been online for at least 5 years or already have mastered the basics of SEM and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and wish to take the next step to getting a higher return on their website investment. All AMO sessions are delivered completely online with web based mentoring and tutorials.
Courses will be delivered from Merimbula in the south right up to Parramatta and Blacktown with sessions also in the Southern Highlands and Sutherland.
